I have this thing where I can barely appreciate cheeze in pop culture. In music, I need about two or three decades of distance between me and the crap in question. In television it just doesn't happen, at all. With movies I need mind-altering chemicals, in general. (I actually was able to enjoy Moulin Rouge in the theater because of this.) Maybe this makes me a snob, but I just need actual redeeming qualities in my media consumption.
The upshot of this is that I don't have any guilty pleasures. Just pleasures other people think I should feel guilty about. And also I'm glad that no one is into Survivor anymore.

pop culture quiz part one
Jan. 29th, 2003 05:23 pmIt has come to my attention that I have somewhat eccentric tastes in TV, movies, music, etc. Actually my problem is I encessantly quote media that no one seems to have heard of. Hence the following poll, the first in a series.
Please pick the answer that you identify with most strongly.
