a fantasy of mine...

The first time I saw the Boston Public Library, I got this crazy idea to be a library person. By which I mean live there. Really. I wouldn't mind living in any library, probably, but that one is especially lovely.

Then this weekend I saw Powell's bookstore. And I think I'd rather live there.

one of my officemates has disappeared
leaving his cell phone behind
and it rings every five minutes


I think I should defenestrate it.

update: I wrapped it up in a sweatshirt - with most of the cloth over the speaker - then put a trashcan over it. I was helped in this endeavor with about four other coworkers.

about a boy

Just saw the movie. God, if I could only have a dude who aged as well as Hugh Grant. And um, of course had a wonderful personality and all that. hey yeah.

Somehow he played the jerk way better than John Cusack. I think it's because he doesn't care, whereas Cusack wants to be liked. Grant seems to like coming across as a jerk, or at least, as I said, he doesn't care. Effortless. Plus I think the character actually knowing he was a jerk helped. Of course he shouldn't have had a happy ending either, but oh well.
