This weekend was the first time I had a cell phone while en vacances so to speak. Not only having a cell but also having free weekend minutes kind of took some of the mystique out of travelling. Any time I wanted to, I could be instantly in touch with the home krew as if I was just at work late or something. On the other hand, I was still lacking an internet connection, so that sort of helped. During a real vacation you have to go at least 24 hours without any contact from the "real world", I think, otherwise it's like you never left.

As for the last few, we got a little lost on the way to the seashore - and then decided it was too far, so turned around. But first I needed to get gas, and the station was right next door to a pub with pool tables. Beer was $2 a bottle, and on Sunday the pool table was free. The jukebox had only about five albums that weren't country. It was great...
