My adventurous days are over, although I would not say that with an agreeable sushi dining partner such as [livejournal.com profile] hotcrab had been, I would not be persuaded. At Umi last night I got one of the happy hour specials that I am a fan of, two pieces of the luscious toro that I always describe as "butter in fish form", an order of ahi tuna poke (not my photo, sorry; mine was heavily garnished with delicious toasted sesame seeds), and for dessert, four pieces of albacore tuna, "poor man's blue fin." It was all very tasty and fresh, especially compared to some of my other visits there. Not sure if that was due to it being a Wednesday, or because we sat very near the chef, but I think the last time I went on a Friday the fish wasn't quite as good, which Anthony Bourdain coulda told you.

After a drunken karaoke bout I thought, "Sushi sounds good right now. Why are there no late-night sushi places in Seattle?"

So far I have no been able to find a place that lists its hours past 2am, but here's what I have so far:

Liberty (Cap Hill)
Umi Sake House (Belltown) (1am)
Ohana (Belltown)
Nijo Sushi (Downtown) (11pm most weeknights)
Dragonfish (Downtown)
Imo (Pioneer Square) (karaoke)

I've only tried Umi, Dragonfish and Nijo.
