I accidentally downloaded an R&B cover ("smooth") of "I believe in a thing called love" which sucks pretty bad, but it leads me to believe that, hey, if The Darkness re-did every single shitty R&B love song ever, they would rock me like a hurricane or something. Anyway if any aspiring hardcore musicians want to do this, I'd love to hear the results.

Yesterday I took an early bus that stopped a few blocks out of my way, but it was good b/c I got to walk down Market Street and see all the fun things that were the reason* I wanted to move to Ballard rather than Capitol Hill in the first place. There are, granted, high schoolers instead of hipsters, but for some reason they don't bother me as much. Probably because I know they won't be drinking in the bars as much.

Anyway I was all gushy when I got home about it, and then started testing out the toaster oven with, yes, toasted cheese sammiches. I made three of them. And then four pieces of toast. Well, granted I gave some to Reg, but still. I threw some garbage out and then made rice while watching Season 5 Buffy. And then I went to sleep after reading a couple more chapters of the Cocaine book.

* also the one bedrooms are more bang-for-buck

I think you are onto something here. Maybe The Darkness should do nothing but an album that are covers of Luther Vandross songs.

By the "Cocaine" book do you mean the one about the history of cocaine? I read that one. Very informative. Probably more than any person would ever want to know about it (and more than you'll ever want to know about South America), but well worth reading.

Yeah, that's the one. I especially liked the chapter on Crack. Very informative.

I think I heard that same cover. I think I actually liked it better than the original.

Yeah. But then again, I've never liked the Darkness...

That's cool, at least it's not "smooth" jazz...
