You know, no matter how cool or hot or pomo you are, there's someone just as such, who thinks your favorite band sucks.
Why is it assumed that you will automatically like the friends of your friends? People that, otherwise, you wouldn't even sniff at in the street, and you're forced to deal with them in a social capacity. If you were being paid, that would be one thing, but you're supposed to be having fun, and you can't because of these asshats.

Date: 2004-04-12 08:42 pm (UTC)That's why one should never make a concious attempt to be any of those things. It alleviates disappointment. As I get older and less of all three (by nature and not effort) I believe more and more that all attempts to the contrary should be punishable by public sterilization through butchery.
As for the bands, they all suck. Yours and mine included.
