i have extreme views.

I don't actually tell people about most of my beliefs and views, unless it's something everyone can agree with - or at least my friends or so. But then I still scale it back unless I think people will take it as a joke. For example, I'm an atheist. Which is not really the majority, but everyone I know more or less. And they are seemingly mostly of the opinion that there is no god, but if you want to believe in god they can't stop you. Maybe they'll even go so far as to say believing in god is an outmoded concept. But no one wants to offend anyone, so they won't say that if you believe in god, you're a special brand of insane. They might even go so far as to say the Pope is a bad man, and yay for attendance worldwide being down, but few people say that Judeo-Christian-Islamic religions have done more harm than good throughout history. Or that their disintegration should be accelerated.

Anyway I'm not going to admit to anything else here. I'm well aware that most of the other things I think would get me labelled a crackpot unless I, for example, wrote it in a funny-rant-style. Besides, while my opinions are fairly extreme, they aren't exactly dear to my heart and I'd probably change them for whomever gave me enough money.

too much Sex and the City

I just read the First Chapter of the book the series was based on. It seems far more cynical and bitter about things than anything I've seen on the show. Although season 3 just started on HBO2, and I'm not sure what I think about it. Kind of hit and miss really. Which makes sense, I mean how many things are there to say about sex and relationships are there left to say?

Last night's episode was about bisexuals and gender roles, and how apparently people in their 20s are more flexible about that kind of thing. Which I can't argue with, as I believe people are all "bisexual". Which means I don't believe it's a valid label, unless you really actually have no preference. I suppose there are people who don't, but most "bisexuals" fuck either sex and date the opposite sex. Which more or less makes them straight in my book.

The main reason I'm watching it, though, is because Miranda reminds me of me, and it's frankly scary. Well, except that I have no career ambition whatsoever, but then I'm still "young."

Homosexual Marriage

I'm pretty much of the opinion that there's no reason for gays to be denied the same rights as straights to be miserable and have alimony payments and such. Although honestly the more I read about marriage laws, the more I think that the civil institution is just outdated. I mean I guess there still needs to be a mechanism in place for resultant children or whatnot, since you can't split them up like a record collection when you break up.

I used to want to kill all the stupid people, but then I realized that would be cutting off a valuable food source.
