lauralhI just watched Quills for the second time. Well, most of it, anyway. I just like the pervy parts. There's oh-so-much sexual tension in there, just about to boil over but never quite making it. I don't like the end, so I didn't watch it. After they kill um, yeah, give it away. Anyway the last 30 minutes or so aren't very erotic, just political. I can't believe how incredibly despicable Michael Caine's character is.
The whole point of the movie is basically that Writing is Good even when it's Bad. And also that real writers just can't turn it off. Oh, and that hurting women for sexual purposes isn't that cool in real life. There's many themes, really.
