I haven't had a gay male friend in way too long, unless you count Holger (who is gay in all ways but the fashion sense and preferring men. Of course if we count him we have to count the gay straight Romanian too, but he's far too popular for me to co-opt).

Really since straight men basically want nothing to do with me, and vice versa, I may as well just find someone who'll watch Buffy and musicals with me unironically. I'll probably think him gorgeous, and he'll say the same to me but secretly wish I resembled Harry Potter a little bit more. We'll spend too much time together, and I'll probably end up secretly in love with him. Except it won't be that secret because I wear my heart on my sleeve around my friends. I'll be broken-hearted that he's not interested in me but he'll still stack up against any straight guy I meet, so it won't matter. But I'll fantasize about him before I fall asleep, unless we're platonically snuggling of course.

Aside from the unrequitted love we'll get along great till the day he meets someone. Which is how it always happens with platonic friends, male or female, gay or straight. Unless I meet someone first, who's just like him, only he wants to sleep with me too.
