I finished The Silicon Valley Diet last night. I enjoyed it but I don't know if I'd give it a big hearty recommendation. Modern short stories are never coherent enough for me, except in the SF realm that is. Although I did like this one book of shorts I read last year, by a woman whose name escapes me... anyway one of the stories was about a woman who fell madly in love with the Nautilus machine at her gym, to the extent that she snuck in at night to be alone with it.

Then I read more poetry of Dot Parker. That stuff is great, great, great. Every other poem, I wanted to type up in here just to show you, but that would just take too long. Instead I'll recommend the [livejournal.com profile] dorothyparker group (in fact this poem is one of the ones I read last night).

edit: By the way, this is a very interesting article about evolutionary and cultural reasoning behind female aggression (or lack thereof).
