I put some books on hold at the Library but I got the branches mixed up. Regardless after my hold on them was gone, the books were still there. So I got like six Anastasia books. I read these all at the appropriate age, but they're still so charming. Last night I read Anastasia Krupnick and Anastasia, Ask Your Analyst. Trying to read them in order, you see. I wish they'd had the two in between, but well, they did not. Next time.

And then it was off to Best Buy to get the new oddly shaped Season Six box set. Apparently if you fear having a human head on your DVD shelf you can call a number to get a proper boring box, but once you take off the Homer packaging it's much nicer than the old boxes. Although they still seem to have failed to fix the closed captioning debacle. That is to say, the subtitle button that most DVD players does nothing, you have to go through the menu. Language->captioning->english. Good lord that's annoying, but at least you only have to do it the one time. So we watched Bart do Rear Window, Lisa vs. Winona Ryder, a clip show about romance, and of course Sideshow Bob run for mayor. (It's not as good as the Cape Fear episode but it does have the Rush Limbaugh ripoff.)

And I can't forget Itchy & Scratchy Land. Oh my god, if I wasn't already in love with Schwartzwelder I would be now. His apocalyptic-cum-Lord of the flies vision of the perfect theme park for kids is just, you know, perfect.

Tonight is more fun with Simpsons and Lois Lowry. I could just die you know?
