So just before I went on the cruise last year, I cut all my hair off and put blond streaks in it. As it grew out, it kept not really looking that bad, and Reg kept insisting I leave it long. The other thing was, I was unemployed and looking for work, so I didn't want to do anything super weird with it.

Right now it looks like this. I put my hair up a few weeks ago and dyed the bottom half. You can't really tell so much in that pic, but the effect is pretty cool in person. dearnana did the red bits, they should probably be touched up soon. I usually use "chocolate cherry" Feria but I want something more dramatic to stand up against the blond. The cool thing about having long layers and just dying some of the layers is that it's actually pretty hard to tell when the dye grows out.

Unfortunately I'm getting pretty sick of having long hair. I do have hair past my shoulders often but, um, only because I don't like getting haircuts. This style is great for me because I can just cut it myself - just pull it up above my head and make sure it's all the same length. And as long as you don't cut too much, there's no way to fuck it up. Except with regard to bangs, which I just don't know how to make perfect. Especially cos I'm parting my hair on my right - stupid b/c of my cowlick, but I feel weird parting it on the left.

I'm somewhat tempted to do something weird with the blond part. Like I said, I haven't used weird colors b/c of the unemployed thing but NOW I WORK FOR THE BORG, and one of the benefits is no one cares what you look like. I'm just not sure what weird color to go for, or if I even really want to. It would have to be a "warm" color b/c "cool" colors on my hair make me look dead. (While "cool" lipsticks make me look alive.)

Go pure black and white.

Come up with a computationally interesting low rez pattern and project it onto your head's spherical shape. Maybe the Quake 'first guess' value for square roots or something.
