bit of a walk

Carkeek Park has a little beach attached to it, which you can follow* all the way to Golden Gardens. Golden Gardens is I suppose technically within walking distance of my place, but it's a bit of a haul. Anyway, I bused it up to the former and walked to the latter. Afterwards I got a pork sammich and walked to 32nd, caught the 17 to Ballard and Market, then walked home. (It's hard to walk with a belly full of pork.)

I used to hang out with some miscreants that would have bonfires down at carkeek beach in like the mid 90's. we'd sneak over the tracks down out of sight and yell at trains as they went by. I broke my nose splitting up firewood down there once.
