Reg and I tend to part ways on the instant vs. homemade debate (he really does prefer Kraft Dinner to oven baked macaroni and cheese), but the one thing we can agree on came clear yesterday. He announced, after a day of gluttony, we needed pudding pie. I immediately told him to get COOL WHIP instead of that real cream canister shit. Man, the memories I have of eating half a container of Cool Whip just out of the fridge... whew. (However I will never ever claim that I'd even seen real people dipping pork products into maple syrup before I moved to North Carolina.)

The gluttony consisted of not much more than five pounds of grapes (of which I think we ate 2 lbs), a banana, 2lbs of slow-cooked pork, and mashed potatoes cooked in the Turbo Cooker Plus. This little gadget was given to us, free, by an eBaying neighbor. I boiled the potatoes in 30 minutes; it was pretty nice. We call it "The Super Pan".

I can only eat mac n soycheeze which I do at least once a week.

I like banana pudding, from scratch, with Nilla wafers, but I don't know anyone else who wants any so I never make it. :-/

Last time I made it, it was too sweet. :-(

I need to try again!

* miracle whip in any meat or meat byproduct sandwich
* lay's original potato chips in tuna fish sandwiches. of course with miracle whip
* popcorn in tomato soup
* hot dogs with ketchup and miracle whip, in wonder bread instead of buns
* grilled cheese sandwiches to dunk in the tomato soup and popcorn

the cajun variety of white trash has a slightly classier food heritage.
