THE FREEZE
Jan. 27th, 2007 07:14 pmNow, I know I was lucky in that I moved to Seattle to a house with two guys who already had a small social network, but I really don't get the "Seattle Freeze". Probably because it fits my own natural character. Except that I would characterize people in Seattle as passive-aggressive and flakey, and I'm just withdrawn and reserved. But I'm honest about it, and this probably beats down some barriers. If I actually want to hang out with someone, I will tell them and make actual plans. I've had people flake on me, but not really that often.
Anyway, I don't know. Most of my friends are a mix of eastside-natives and total transplants. What does everyone else think?
