Date: 2005-08-28 02:29 am (UTC)the other original meaning behind the word "hippie" referred to the low-slung pants that those now-yuppies slugged around in, that just barely held onto their hips. thus, "hippie". how do i know this? because my mom lived through that era and wore such pants.
