after I picked up my check yesterday, I went to deposit it. Bellevue is not the most liberal laid-back of places, at least not compared to Seattle, so I was slightly surprised that my bank teller had a nose stud. I almost asked to take a picture for my photo essay of "serious jobs with piercings," but I couldn't bring myself to be so weird.

Mar. 29th, 2005 09:17 amLast night I dreamed I got a stigmata piercing in both wrists, and one of them was kind of goopy and I realized it was infected. So I rinsed it out with salt water and it got better. For those of you nuts interested, it wasn't a surface piercing but an actual straight barbell through. Hence stigmata. In the dream I didn't get the piercing at a shop, it just appeared, the way things do in dreams. It was all perfectly sensible at the time.

OK so now I want one of those nipple shield thingies. I suppose this will be contingent upon my boyfriend's approval, not because I'm one of those girls but just because, well damn it IS a nipple. Any other piercing/tatt I wouldn't care. I still do want the vertical labret, and the dragon tattoo on my back, but I also think I want the cross from my family's coat of arms on my upper arm. It's simple yet elegant, or something.
And possibly The Cheat.
