On Vox: right
Oct. 17th, 2007 09:27 amSo Reg and I saw the first half of Spamalot Sunday night, but it was far too painful to watch anymore. Maybe that's just us and our serious Python background, or maybe some things were just not meant to be musicals. Like The Producers. Cough. So we rushed home to watch Holy Grail but for some reason that didn't happen. Instead we watched the pilot for Jericho, which also sucked, but in that specific CBS way that I can't define. I mean it even had MAJOR DAD as the Dad. What's the opposite of scenery chewing? Oh yeah, a shitty saccharine script.
Last night we went to Chez Gaudy with Jeremy and Katie and Sid and Asa and a couple more K-named people. I hadn't been there since Paul took me for my 29th birthday, which is really a shame as it's so fabulous. I got drunk on the $7 wine specials and shared some tasty tapas with everyone. It was really good to see people, as we haven't really been too social since Reg's job started. And afterwards they all came over to drink my liquor.
Reg tried to get me to watch Planet Terror but I kept running away and hiding. I was just a little too sober, I guess. But, as I pointed out, he's going to watch it at least 3 times anyway, so I'll catch up then. I just am not a fan of the gross-outs that RR puts in his films. (Despite watching Sin City in the theater twice, I had to cover my eyes during the same scenes both times.)
