Anyway that guy distracted me from the whole point of life, which is that I finally saw Episode 3 and I really really liked it. I think it's better than Jedi, although Reg says "Not quite." The only thing that I really didn't like was all the fucking glass breaking. I mean, wtf kinda retard glass do they have a long time ago? But in general yeah, it was the first time you actually gave a fuck about the characters, and it was all very sad and poignant and pretty.

Although I totally want some palpatine/anakin slash now.

Afterwards we started on Disc 2 of Bullshit!. Watched the Sex episode, and the bottled water/feng shui one. After that I wanted to drink some Evian and have sex. I did neither, alas.

I almost agree with you. The happy-ending Star Wars movies were the worst (fuck an Ewok!) The dark ones where the good guys get fucked up (Sith, Empire) ruled.

In my mind, Jedi = personal favorite/least acclaimed by all other standards. Sith = best of new trilogy, but doesn't hold a candle to original trilogy.

Jedi wasn't all happy, y'know. Luke's father was killed, only moments after coming back to the light side. Lots of people died. I mean sure, the focus was on the happy and all, but *shrug*.

THANK YOU

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, FUCKING THANK YOU

I cannot for the life of me understand why people even tolerate that abomination, much less gush about it. UGH.

because we have souls?

To gain a soul did you have to sacrifice the ability to recognize bad writing, bad acting, bad direction and abominable film-making as a whole?

Because that's a Faustian bargain I could do without.

I so never understand what makes your "cynical" icons cynical...

Sure... I use that "feature" fairly frequently on icons I make, when I change them somehow. But what's that got to do with anything?

I did think Beauty and the Geek was fucking genius.

I've never seen that, but it looks like it could be hilarious.

Sickening and demeaning to all concerned, of course, but at least hilarious.

Reality television still manages to give me a woody from time-to-time.

You have an advantage over me there, though. Some of those geeks actually looked fairly good-looking, whereas the "beauties" all looked like horrifying debutante whores.

I don't think he meant that kind of woody. None of those guys are even remotely attractive.

I didn't think he meant that either, but I was going there.

That guy doesn't look too bad in the pic. Of course the whole "Dukes of Hazzard Fan Club" thing after you click through to the bios undoes any lack of horror I had from just looking at the pic...

If you were to lower yourself to giving it a chance, you would discover that, despite the unflattering photo, Joe is actually adorable.

And alas being drawn into a painful love triangle. Oh... the drama.

Oh the REALITY!

Joe is a total cutie. I think that he may be my favorite, unless you count Richard, whom I love just for being so hilariously dorky. I have a feeling I'm going to be addicted to that show.

There is something about quiet, four foot tall guys with no self-esteem who are totally submissive that's, well, strangely alluring.

Incidentally...

They are replaying last night's episode on the WB tonight (I think at 9) if you want to see for yourself.

I highly recommend it.

Yeah, totally not better than Jedi. But then I thought it pretty well sucked, really. It almost had me a in a few parts but then Lucas would do something gay like put an overly-animated character in or have an abrupt character transition.

I actually did enjoy ep III, but i think there's such a bad taste in my mouth from the first two I was overly critical of things i would have overlooked in the old movies. Everyone knew it couldn't have a happy ending, so lucas had sort of a free pass at making a halfway interesting story.

I liked it too, and I'm a rabid Star Wars fan. I still found the romantic scenes to be shite, and Hayden Christianson to be a friggin' mannequin, but overall I liked the movie, the love scenes weren't frequent enough to ruin it.

I didn't expect that kind of opinion from you... thought you'd be more cynical.
