god, my sinuses have been so freakin' horrible since coming back from mexico. they weren't great there either, i think it's the air travel thing, as every time i yawn now my ears pop. I hate air travel so much. They really need to get on the ball with the superfast railway systems. There should be a fast train from Vancouver->Seattle->SF->LA->San Diego to Mexico to Panama all the way to Tierra Del Fuego, man.

If I can get together the $100 billion, I'm fully intending to build that fast train (maglev). I have the complete design for it in my head. I'm not sure how far into Mexico and points south I'd want to run it, though. The liquid nitrogen and superconducting magnets are a little too dangerous and vulnerable to sabotage/vandalism/idiots looking for "scrap parts" -- even if it's all buried in inches of concrete. I wouldn't want tinkerers trying to tap the embedded high voltage, either.
