lauralh | time for something less sub-sub-sub-substantial

I can't stop buying little pieces of crap! Yesterday it was cheap focaccia at Cost Plus, a mix for 78¢? yeah dude! And then bubble bath and candles at BedBathBeyond, which led to a bubble bath yesterday evening. And then, I didn't buy anything today till I got my hair cut. There was this totally awesome 60-yo man on the bus to the UD, he was just a normal looking balding greyhair except he was wearing a taupe skirt and matching heels and purse. Right on man.

The girl who cut my hair was from Montana and had just been broken up with her boyfriend the previous day. Don't you love it when your hairdresser makes you feel all socially awkward for being cooler than she is? Of course this is the first time since moving to Seattle that I've had a hairdresser who a) was born in America and b) not cool. Hell, first time I've had a hairdresser under the age of 30 who was uncool. I mean she was fine but, you know. It was an interesting experience, and she followed my directions so I liked her. That's all it takes, although to be honest I'm not into the hairdressers who chat you up. I'm sorrah but I'm here to get my haircut, not to share my life story. I feel invaded enough letting you touch my head.

Anyway later I think I'll buy some cheap black dye and put streaks in, since my roots are coming in pretty spectacularly.
