don't be fooled
May. 25th, 2004 08:35 amHey, what's so wrong about "fleshloaves"?
Common Sociopathic Traits: Egocentricity; Callousness; Impulsivity; Conscience defect; Exaggerated sexuality; Excessive boasting; Risk taking; Inability to resist temptation; Antagonistic, deprecating attitude toward the opposite sex; Lack of interest in bonding with a mate
I watched X-Men last night because Famke Jansenn+Hugh Jackman= rawr.
I'm reading a rather curious book called "Soul Mates" or some such drivel. It's more or less about reconciling the rational with the emotional in one's interpersonal relationships. Or rather, the other way around. Not sure what I think of it yet; I'm inclined to reject such stuff at first glance, but I'm trying to keep an open mind, and I'm more than self-aware enough to accept contradictions in my own personality. Which is sort of the point, I guess.

Date: 2004-05-25 09:01 pm (UTC)it's so trendy to counter everything one sees these days; and it's especially trendy to claim that someone who holds the same ideals is going about it the "wrong way" or isn't "(insert subculture here)" enough. i suppose it's always been trendy to do that.
i posit one multifocal argument: that not everyone is like that in the community, and that there's no sense in damning an entire group of people for the general impression one gets of the language used in a few posts, and that ultimately on the internet we're all human beings and one hatred isn't more worthy than another-- and this dude totally starts acting like *I*'m the one posting all this angsty childfree crap.

Date: 2004-05-26 04:47 am (UTC)"Marsha Marsha MAR-sha!!!" Well at least I'm still a gold medalist at Panic Disorder, Hypertension and Generalized Anxiety...Hey Thanks Curious George Dumbya Busch and Co.! More Beta Blockers and Xanax for me!
In all seriousness though, If I didn't have my dear huzboi
right now to guide me and help me through all this political terror war mess right now I'd feel really lost and probably just give up and go back to England, not that it's much better there... I think some people are meant to be independent and they don't get half as much of the respect they deserve for being the strong people they are. I think alot of the establishment of paired and married people are just plain disrespectful and stupid at times. It's all about insecurity. But we're not all that way. Alot of us old-ass married bastards are not at all smug in the fact we're attached, it's just a fact of life, but we totally understand that it's not like that for everyone and we totally respect that. In other words... Rock on with your bad self!
