Do you pronounce heroine to distinguish it from heroin?

no, I just use context, like

"The heroine and the tracks were drawn to each other, as if fated to be joined"
vs.
"The heroin and the tracks were drawn to each other, as if fated to be joined"

er, uh...

no, i just qualify with a secondary title.

"heroine! the hot, ass-kicking bitch."
"heroin! the white horse i constantly chase."

i slightly elongate the "n" of "heroine." i think i also say the "ine" part as "ehn," whereas in "heroin" i say "in," but that's really subtle.

Heroin comes to a more abrupt stop. I try to make the 'n' in heroine extended and "softer". I'm not sure anyone (including me) could actually hear the difference.
