oi.. i heard about that. They've got it pretty bad in alberta's cow-town.
I don't smoke, but i'm against it too. Especially in regards to smoking in bars and coffee shops. They go hand in hand, like bohemians and deep poetry!
I am currently registered in Issaquah. I wonder if to change my address, do i just register under my new location? I keep on looking around and can never seem to see what to do about change of address.
You're not really a libertarian if you're in favor of governments restricting the freedom of restaurant/bar owners, and the people that patronize them.
As an ex-smoker (Never belived I would say that!) I think smoking bans are extremely silly and stupid and well..STUPID. Why not let people decide for themselves if they want to smoke in a bar or not? Anyway, the fumes from cars are much more dangorous and no one is talking about a car - ban now, are they? And why? Because the people making and selling cars/petrol etc are way to powerful in the society....It's all a political mess I think.
I thought it was LAME when we did it in California. I was incensed! I said, people need to be able to smoke in bars! I mean, duh.
Then I started being able to go out at night without having to wash my hair before going to bed, because it didn't smell like cigarette smoke. So that was nice. I really like not having a headache or stinky clothes in the morning.
But I am still against those bans - they are stupid because what bars really need to do is have nice big fat air purifiers, then we'd all be happy. Because as it is now, whenever I go to anything underground or even where the bartender is cool, it's smokier than ever before because why would they have an air purifier or even an open window when you're not supposed to be smoking in the first place?
