lauralhWhy does one feel sick after a nap? Like low-grade nausea. I don't understand it evolutionarily. At least passing out at the sight of blood makes some sense (if you pass out your heartrate slows down to stem the flow of blood). Maybe it's to teach people not to nap? I mean a predator wakes you up and you feel like you might need to hurl, you probably won't make it. I dunno.
I was worried that Boudoir last night was gonna suck but it didn't. Yay. A bunch of Egyptians showed up, thank god, and none of the Romanians. Which isn't that great but on the other hand, not so many girls were out and about, and they hate the music anyway. Too bad for them. And a few of the other "new" regulars were there too, though not as many as I would have liked.
I went to the new Fry's in Renton today and omfg I was in geek heaven. I wanted to take various pieces of hardware and rub them all over my body. Mm. yeah. um. where was I? Basically it's like Powell's in that as soon as I walked in I knew I had found a place I could spend forever in. So, I need those two stores next to each other, or at least joined by an ultra-high-speed train, and then um, oh, I dunno, IKEA too. And then really I'd be fucking set forever.
After I got back I did the dishes, started reading Candid, and then decided to nap. Woke up because of an amazingly loud fuckin' thunderclap which is still bothering me. It was just, wow. Loud. Anyway I have to go to the airport at 11 tomorrow, so I'm trying to figure out what I can do tonight that's low-key enough for waking up by ten. Factoring in this nap, that is.
