  • I had Welsh Rarebit for dessert last night. It was really amazingly tasty, and cured my salt craving, but I think I'm going to stick to table water crackers today. Usually these are garnished with a slice of cheese, but alone they're only 14 calories.

  • I distinguish between "real tea" and "herbal tea" by saying the former has actual tea leaves from tea trees, and the latter does not. Is this wrong?

  • My hands get bruises on them from the three-hole punch. I had a weird thing on my left forefinger last week, I feared it was a splinter because it hurt when I touched it, but it went away so I must assume it was also a bruise. They say that hands give away one's age, so I'm constantly rubbing lotion into them so they don't look so leathery.

  • I slicked my hair back today - after I got out of the shower I brushed my hair, as usual, and was about to blowdry it when I said Fuckit and just put some product in and brushed it back again. It looks pretty bad. But I have no reason to go anyplace where boys may see me, so who cares.

  • By the way, I don't believe any of you (re: last poll)

you're right about the tea thing. if you want to be really picky, "herbal tea" is nonsense... you might as well call the same stuff "herbal coffee" or "herbal hot chocolate" as those drinks have as much in common as chamomile does with the camellia sinensis (tea) plant. "herbal infusion" is the semantically proper term... though of course you'd have to be a real asshole to force the distinction.

tincture always makes me think of alcohol or medicine... but it's correct and does sound better.

Is it because the people who checked in for honestly, you think are lying, or because the people who said they are cool with lying are probably cool with lying on your quiz (but then, if they were, wouldn't they have checked that they were all pro-the truth?).

Kurt Gödel didn't die in vain. He died in New Jersy.

why would someone lie about that?

That would require acting under the assumption that motivation could be understood.

You should have asked if people enjoy lying. That could have answered your question.

i personally do not "enjoy" lying - I merely don't feel guilty about doing it.

But you certainly acknowledge that there exist people, perhaps even on your friends list, who do enjoy it, no?
