come on knock on (heaven's) door
Sep. 12th, 2003 09:22 amDizzam. I was just talking about john ritter last night, because I think Luke Wilson was kind of channeling him for Old School. Which I didn't really like all that much because it was too, um, realistic. Which is to say only Andy Dick's character was over the top. If you're gonna make a stupid comedy thing, you need OVER THE TOPness. Even Anger Management had this in spades.
Beyond that I was boring last night, so I won't go on about it. I've been avoiding watching Friends, although I've replaced it with an hour of Daria on the N or Noggin or whatever that station for teenagers is. It makes me so incredibly glad that I'm a grown-up or whatever, though. The commercials I mean. The kids are so chubby and awkward. Anyway they had a music video which was this band the Ataris covering "Boys of Summer." I was a little amused by the fact that they were clearly supposed to be a little punk rock, the lead singer (who was madd hott) had tattoos covering his bony arms, but they were all wearing polo shirts. Is that irony? I can't tell anymore. (Also instead of "Deadhead sticker" on her Caddy, it was a "Black Flag" sticker.)
(I still like Daria, anyway. The eps are copyright 2001, which is odd as I thought they stopped making the show way before that. But they have email and internet references. Still isn't it weird to show a cancelled cartoon on a non-cartoon network? Not that I'm complaining, just asking.)
