I know way too many people who apparently aren't getting any from their significant other. So I'm just trying to see how common it is. Pass this survey along in your friends lists.

For sex you can interpret it to mean, well, you know.

But in my previous-previous LTR, I wanted sex NEVER and he wanted it often.

That was a bad setup. 3 times in 6 months was all I could offer, and that was forced.

So, why did you keep going out with him if you didn't want to?

Long story made longer...

Well, at first, I thought it was because I was on the Pill. So I went off the Pill for a few months, and I still had no interest. So I really just resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't interested 'cause there was something wrong with me, physically, and I had convinced the bf, too, that that's what was going on.

What really happened was that he was my after-6-years-reunited boyfriend from high school. We didn't talk at all during that time period (94-00), and I had aggrandized him to the point of deity by the time I found him again.

So when we hooked up, I was in massive denial that the level of attraction didn't exist for me anymore. Which caused the break up to be much later than it normally would. I mean - this was the man that I'd convinced myself I'd eventually be with forever.

How very disappointed I was when I finally came to terms with the fact that he wasn't at all what I'd "remembered."

What if I've never had a long-term relationship?

Maybe, sorta, from a certain perspective, but not officially. I've never had a girlfriend for a long time.

I've not really had "sexual friends", either.

My answer reflects the end reality... before that, it had been the opposite way, though it had started out on even keel. But that was a very complicated, fucked-up relationship. Yep.

I'm declining to answer because it usually changes drastically over the course of the relationship. If they never gave up the ass - and by gave up the ass, I meant "enthusiastically hungered for sex as much as me" - from day one, they never would have BECOME significant others to begin with.

don't be a jackass

What part of "the following was most often true" did you not understand?

"What Pantone color code does human skin most often correlate to?"

"Uh, for which race?"

"I SAID 'most often,' don't be a jackass!"

I have to point out that Jimbo's got a point, Laural. I have been in relationships where we went through a constant-sex period when we first got hooked up and then things chilled out for a while (mostly cos the pills she was on killed her sex drive). Things change over time, is my point and Jimbo's too, I imagine.

I'd be curious to see a gender breakdown of the results, ie, who's being denied.

I almost made the typo I love- "Resluts".
