Date: 2003-05-20 12:39 am (UTC)depo and the Pill fuck up a small percentage of the chicks on them. Will it be you? feel lucky, punk? ie, depends on your risk tolerence..are you okay with mood swings and weight gain roulette? anything hormonal is chancey, side effects wise.
The humble diaphram (and its european relative, the cervical cap) is a good stop-gap if you're waffling about the pill. its cheap, non-permanent, and the side effects are nil. also doubles as a period "keeper" (like "Instead") the biggest drawbacks: 1) gotta put it in 20 minutes before intercourse 2) gotta leave it in 6 hours after intercourse 3)up to 20% failure, especially if not used properly 4) if your guy is really big, or you're really small, you might "notice" it more than you like.
and if you hate it, you can use it as a post-modern cat toy!

Date: 2003-05-20 07:24 am (UTC)Of course, I'm married, too.
He's snipped, I've never been on any form of birth control in my life. We did the condom thing, before he went through with the vasectomy, though.
We decided on that after going through the options and ended up on vasectomy since it was the one that wouldn't have as many possible problems. And it was an out-patient thing for him. My dad even drove him home.
That was a little over a year ago now, and he hasn't regretted it once. Well...that I'm aware of, but I'm pretty damn sure he hasn't.
