i'm in just the right amount of pain to prevent sleep - every time I try to relax it's like AAH! - so i had some thoughts to share with the class. I will use the approved powerpoint method of bullets with numbers after each point.

why i call bisexuals "gay"

1. I believe that everyone is "bisexual" to some degree, that is we all contain some seeds of attraction for men and women.
   
2. I also believe that 99% of people have a marked preference for one sex or the other.
   
3. From henceforth I will call people with a preference for the same sex "gay" and people with a preference for the other sex "straight."
   
4. This means if you call yourself bisexual, I will think you are pointing out your preference to the same sex.
   
5. Therefore you are gay.

why nerds should go to private universities

1. I was a big nerd in high school.
   
2. Like most of the other nerds, I didn't have much luck with dating/sexual issues.
   
3. This all changed when I went away to school, and even moreso when I enrolled in a private university.
   
4. I never went to a public university, but from what I hear they're mainly like high school, only bigger.
   
5. Whereas private schools are 90% nerds or so, full of people who "read Lord of the Rings in high school" instead of getting some. So everyone is more or less on equal footing in the social strata.
   
6. Therefore it is easier to get laid in private university than public.
   

what's the deal with Radiohead?

1. People tend to have strong opinions about Radiohead.
   
2. They're just a fucking band people, not the second coming.
   
3. I like Pablo Honey because it's poppy.
   
4. I don't really like Thom Yorke's voice on the next couple of albums so much.
   
5. I like the atmospheric resonance and use of his voice as more of an instrument on Kid A.
   
6. Therefore the rest of you should just chill the fuck out.

1.I don't know...if you like steak AND lobster, does that mean you're confused? Or you just have a preference for two different things.
2.I know many members of the radiohead cult. I'm one myself. But I don't expect everyone to get it, or hold it against them if they don't.

All the stuff that doesn't make it onto the Radiohead albums is the good stuff, I've learnt. They've got a pretty decent live duet with Bjork for "I've Seen it All", and they've got the best version of "Wish You Were Here" by anyone since Pink Floyd.

While it's not the way I handle it, your gay/straight/bi title system seems eminently reasonable to me.

If you've got some notion of how I could get accepted to and pay for a private U, I'll head over to one post haste.

I don't even know THAT much about Radiohead, and don't really care.

well, I had really really good grades in high school, and my family was poor, so I got a lot of grant money and low-interest student loans when I got into Duke. I've no idea how anyone else would do it.
