I'm going to be using SIMP with Trillian, we'll see how that goes.

In other news I'm nearly finished VALIS. That book rules, yo. Un-sur-prisingly. But now I have to clean my room and do laundry and stuff.

Oh, and I got this spam. Well, actually I'm subscribed to this "paid research marketing" list, but unsurprisingly they're never looking for single white females:
Looking for moms between the ages of 21 - 40, who have a child between the
ages of 6 to 18 months of age. Paying $60 for 20 minutes of your time,
taking place this Friday, April 11. Please e-mail us back
(tirak@tlgonline.com) with a phone number where we can reach you during
the day.

just lie.
I am sure you can fake a picture of a kid. "yeah I have seven kids, I am a mormon, I just want to get out of the house for a few hours"

Ah "Valis", the oft debated Dick classic. It seems there are two strong camps on that one: those who love it and those who hate it. I loved it when I first read it, but find I return to it less than I do his other books. It's dense with interesting ideas but lacks the suspense of "Radio Free Albemuth." That book was originally turned into his publisher and was sent back for revisions. Dick totally rewrote it as "Valis." "Radio Free Albemuth" was only published posthumously.

It's Dick's most autobiographical work, and a book I have given to several people (including those who don't like sci-fi) and 100% of them have highly enjoyed it.

The next book in the trilogy "The Divine Invasion" is totally whacked-out and fun. The final one in the trilogy I have only read twice and it still is not one of my favorites.

Enjoy!
