lauralhoh fuck, is it baseball season already? arrrgh... i hate hate hate baseball. For two reasons. One, the sport itself bores me to tears. Two, it fucks up traffic in Seattle, a task which is akin to using drugs on drunk girls to get them to sleep with you. OVERKILL.
Last night as I waited to get stood up, my recently-single housemate asked Steve and I if we actually LIKED dating. We tried to explain to her that we've always had sig. others until recently to avoid answering the question. I mean personally I don't like dating, I'd totally rather have cake, but it's sometimes fun. I mean really it's just all about lowered expectations. As long as there's a guy (or three) who doesn't completely flake on you, then you get the independence of being a single person as well as companionship when you want it and maybe decent sex. You should totally not look at dating as a way to get a spouse. Oh sure, it's a side effect sometimes, but if you look at it that way then there's too much pressure. Just look at it as a fun way to spend some time. She always harshes on the boys I bring over, I guess because she doesn't get that.
