never trust a french canadian
Mar. 26th, 2003 02:26 amWent to see Kid Koala last night. He didn't kick mucho ass large as he did last time, but the show was supposed to be sold out so I didn't mind. Actually there was a bit of a hassle, as the old housemate wanted to come, and I'm still afraid of my tires blowing out like they did last month - Steve has a Miata, so any time any of us have friends we take my car. Anyway we got into a bit of an argument about fairness and equity, but fortunately Erik drove so we wouldn't have to keep being pouty. Well, I wouldn't anyway.
So we got to the show a bit early, waited in line while the boys complained about the "sausage-fest" and I merely drooled. Unfortunately by the time we got in we realized that people were not going to be milling around as usual, but that seats were lined up like an elementary school play. Speaking of elementary school, we also played Bingo. See, the whole thing was a book tour promotion. Not that he didn't drop the phat beats but just not a whole lot. He mostly talked about his book and the soundtrack that he did for it. Which, hell, is pretty cool. Especially since the book is about a bunch of robots.
Anyway we yes played Bingo with characters from the book, and I tied with two other people. We had a staring contest, which I suppose is fundamentally unfair as I wear contacts, but I did a pretty good job anyway. I won a pretty kool kangaroo pen just before it turned midnight. It afforded me a few minutes of joy, along with the birfday hug Steve awarded me.
(Which all went to shit with the Dick's jokes. Steve keeps referring to the Dickbag in my back seat, and I keep saying "You aren't IN my back seat right now Steve.")
