Describe your worst dating nightmare.

Who I Want to Meet: Somebody who will introduce me to everybody as her boyfriend after the second date or, even better, bring her mom on the first date. Somebody psychotic, preferably with a history of violence and mental institutions, manic- depressive types strongly preferred; for every suicide attempt add one point. She has to be high-maintenance, with a high idea of self- worth and should expect to be complemented on her amazing looks every 90 mins. When at a dinner party, the only topic worth bringing up is Her Royal Highness, her ex- boyfriends or her mom.

Who I Want To Meet: Someone who will date me for years and refuse to introduce me to his friends as "my girlfriend". Someone who can't hold a job and gets insanely jealous if I have any friends, male or female, that I spend more time with than him. He keeps making comments about how all his friends think "you can do so much better," implying what a saint he is for dating you. Cares more about making money than anything else, including his family or me. Is overweight and keeps telling me "You know, my mom's your height and a lot older and weighs a LOT less than you do." Has the emotional stability of a three-year-old and treats a girl like a sex object. The kind you use to jerk off with.

Dude, everybody ALWAYS gets this one wrong. Trust me, the worst isn't the kind that wants you to tell them they're gorgeous every 90 minutes, the worst are the kind that will BLOW THE FUCK UP if you try to tell them they're pretty, and get insanely angry at your "lying" to them or wtf ever if you say anything nice about the way they look.

Trust me on this.

Also, way worse than trigger-happy on the "boyfriend" word are the ones that freak way the fuck out about you talking to anybody else about dating them, but feel free to go off at length themselves with booty stories to large groups of people at the drop of a hat.

Also, there are the ones that go into instant conniptions at the presence of any girl as good-looking, or god forbid, better-looking than they are. ::shudders violently::

I thought you were talking moreso about an actual date as the worst experience, not so much the person. I once took a blind date to dinner at Outback, only to find out right after ordering a nice porterhouse "so rare that a good vet could save it" that she was a vegan. I should've figured something was up when she got dead quiet the second we got in the parking lot, because she was chatty as hell for a good 30 minutes beforehand. Who knew? heh.
