lauralhI freaked out when the cable announced a civil emergency in WA state, but apparently it was just an amber alert:
Thursday, February 6, 2003 / 5:47 PM An inadvertent emergency message was sent out this afternoon on many television stations to those who subscribe to AT&T Broadband Cable. The message was the canceling of the Amber Alert, and should have only been internal, but a glitch at AT&T triggered the accidental alert to those cable customers.
