lauralhI have a cold I think. This really sucks as I was just barely getting over another cold. Or maybe it's purely chronic sinusitus starting late this year. Gah.
We hit Michael's last night and then the Cha-Cha. We never go there, partly because too many of Steve's ex's hang out there, and partly because we just hate it. I mean, I dunno, it's not really all that bad, but the music is too loud for you to talk over and it's always hella crowded with scenester fucks. Say what you will about the meat markets where we usually hang out, at least the bartenders and clientele don't think they're too good to talk to you. At least the drinks were cheap.
When we got home I watched Bridget Jones' Diary. It was really a relief to watch that after seeing Maid in Manhattan recently. I don't know if the Brits just make better movies or what, but I hate it when I watch a movie and think "eh." That's worse than hating a movie. And I find more and more to be the case that a movie inspires absolutely no feeling within me. Am I getting more jaded, or are the movies just getting worse? Anyway fortunately BJD at least makes me grin throughout the whole thing. Or cringe. How can you not love a movie that ends with the lines, "Nice boys don't kiss like that." "OH yes they fucking do."
