Went to see Max courtesy of
hydrozoa today. I sort of compared it to 8 Mile with the whole "artist as a young man" thing. Except of course Hitler is slightly less well-liked than Marshall Mathers, and the movie didn't try to say he actually was nice to gay people or whatever. Plus the soundtrack wasn't nearly hip-hop enough.
In all seriousness it was an enjoyable movie. Historical films are always interesting, especially when you already know a lot about the era/people. And of course John Cusack OPPOSITE Hitler, I mean, how can you miss with that? And Noah Tyler was so spot on it was rather scary. Especially interesting because of the Illuminati Trilogy which has parts about Hitler, too. Probably goes into the top 5 for 2002.
