On the way back from the movies* I felt a wave of loneliness and melancholy sweep over me and threaten to drown me. But when I got home I had a slice of apple pie and felt much better.

* The Hours is worth seeing, Maid in Manhattan is not.

There was this annoying (make that sociopathic) guy I hung out with a few times before I couldnt take it anymore, and he had never done a drug in his life. One of our last convos was him judging me up one side and down the other for doing them. Finally I said to him that people in my life who I had run across that had never done drugs always left a bad taste in my mouth, and they always seemed narrow-minded, dull, and most of the time without fail they were judgemental know-it-alls. I prefer if someone at least experimented, then quit, before they go shooting off at the mouth singing their own praises. Plus some drugs just leave your soul more open if you take them properly, as little as one time, like mushrooms.

So I told him instead of judging people for doing dope, maye he should worry more about how others percieve him for NOT doing any. It was the first time I had ever said "Dont judge me for doing drugs and I wont judge you for not having done them" and totally meant it in a serious way.

So the quote you posted reminded me of that and I had to smile.
