i started reading that years ago, and after the first couple hundred pages i was becoming increasingly convinced the whole book was just a prank to see if anyone would read the whole thing. i've been meaning to go back to it for some time, as this seems much funnier now than it did at the time...

There's this bit in which a book reviewer is clearly reviewing the trilogy itself, which cracked me up... talking about how terrible it is and how no one would ever read the whole thing.
