Sometimes my INTPness (aka robot-like tendencies) scare me. I have my moments of irrationality but on the whole I am pretty much a simple person. I've had one ex describe me as "not giving a fuck about most people, but the ones you do, you do." And the other night Nick said something to the effect of me coming off as totally sarcastic and cynical, but with a gooey caramel center. Er, caring and loyalty, rather. And I once told someone I was like a dog, basically - nice to me, I'm nice back; hit me on the nose with a paper, I shy away. But people tell me of their irrational decisions and I get very confused. I mean, not that I stick with my rational decisions, not that I always make rational decisions, but at least I try. And a lot of time it is just as simple as weighing up options and making a cold and calculated decision and sticking to it, controlling my emotions through dint of sheer will. Or maybe I'm just like George and Elaine and Jerry.

I saw Ed Wood recently. Christ that movie fucking rocked. I didn't know how into it I would get, I was feeling rather ADD that evening, but I totally got all the way into it, completely enthralled the whole way through pretty much. I mean I always love movies about making films (Demented Forever, Shadow of the Vampire), and I lurve Johnny Depp, so it's not surprising. It's more than the sum of those parts, as well. I guess because of Tim Burton. I already liked his stuff but now it's like, wow. Every second it just kept getting better and better. And it wasn't pure ridiculousness either, the friendship between Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi was really quite touching. Martin Landau rocked my world, too.

Saw Nemesis today. I really liked it. I actually haven't seen Insurrection but whatever. I'm such a huge Next Generation nerd that I knew what song Data was whistling when he and Riker met. Anyway it was slightly ridiculous but in a rather fun way. Plus the guy that plays the bad guy is pretty hot.

You shouldn't have known that song.

Afterwards, I had to sit through a scathing analysis of how the film was just a complete rip-off of the Wrath of Khan.
yeah, like you don't
