Mainly I talked about Nick. We expounded on various theories about why he stuck with me, and then I consoled Steve about his last failed relationship. I said something to Steve about how he deserved better:
"you deserve someone who sees how nice and wonderful you are, someone who wakes up in the morning and says 'Oh my God, I'm with STEVE' and smiles."

OK, so I shouldn't have admitted that that's sort of what Ross told Rachel in the season 2 premiere of Friends... kind of ruined the moment. But the next day I pulled up the whole quote for him:
You are way too good to be with a guy like that. You deserve to be with someone who appreciates you, and who gets how funny and sweet and amazing, and adorable, and sexy you are, you know? Someone who wakes up every morning thinking "Oh my god, I'm with Rachel". You know, someone who makes you feel good, the way I am with Julie.

"I think we all need to remember that. Except for the Julie part."
