pays to be polite I guess

Right so it's amazing how every time I'm alone in a club for any amount of time I get hit on by the skeeziest guys imaginable. Last night I suppose it was my fault; while Joel was in the bathroom I was glancing around, and the most horrific Hawaiian shirt imaginable caught my eye. Mainly because it was so similar to the one this guy at the wedding earlier was wearing, so I thought for a second it was the same guy. But it wasn't, and when I determined this, he decided to sit down next to me.

I soo didn't want to deal with some jackass hitting on me so the second he sat down, I said "Look, I'm here with someone else, I'm not interested, go away." And he just kind of did a double take and looked at me funny. I repeated, "I'm here with someone, he's in the bathroom, just leave me alone." I think he said something but luckily Joel came back at that minute. "Oh, you're with him. Look I wasn't trying to hit on you, I just wanted to hang out." Yeah whatever buddy. He got up and Joel sat down.

So normally when skeezy guys try to talk to me, I let them talk for a minute and then say politely that I've got a boyfriend. Or that I'm with someone, and usually Steve or one of the Romanians helps me out there. That always works. Being totally honest doesn't work I suppose.

Waitaminute - were you at the Hammvang wedding thing? It's just bizarre concidence that you're in Seattle, and I know about a wedding there, and I know that one of my favorite people, abz6598 from Montana, who has a Hawaiian shirt fetish, was at a wedding in Seattle this weekend. Now if that wasn't a poorly constructed run-on sentence....
