in general, tv sucks
Jul. 10th, 2002 12:32 pmBut there are a couple of quality shows on. And I recently fell in love with a new one, Son of the Beach, starring good old Dick Deitrich, er, Timothy Stack. It's probably the funniest thing I've seen since Seinfeld went off the air.
Also watched Rosemary's Baby last night, since I've never seen it before. I have seen Stepford Wives, though, and this was way better. I guess because of Roman Polanski, since I can't imagine the plot of the novel being superior. But it's one of those movies that was good mainly because it was the late 60s or so, and actors and directors actually gave a shit about making good movies, despite silly plots. (The same reason Saturday Night Fever works.) The only thing that really got to me during it were the needle bits. Those were the most realistic looking injections and blood-drawings I have ever watched. Or not watched, as is more accurate. (Which also helped me understand why horror movies are popular for dates.)
