Whenever I take those personality tests (the real ones, Myers-Briggs, not the "what kind of pickled foodstuff are you" quizzes), I always pretty much test on the border of everything that they're trying to measure. Except for introversion/extroversion. On that I'm always at least 80% introvert.

People have an idea in their head when they think of "introverted" or "extroverted" - but the tests aren't measuring for that. Basically they just try to figure out if you get energized by people or drained by them. Of course by people they really mean "new people." Everyone likes hanging out with their friends (except for people who have no friends, I guess), but the questions are usually about going to parties or whatever. I actually twice managed to have a good time talking to people I didn't know at parties, but I really had to psyche myself up for it. And drink. (When I don't have to drive I'm way more extroverted.)

(I'm at my most introverted when I'm stressed out. All I want is to curl up with a book, or maybe watch a dumb movie. But failing that I'll take ice cream, sex, or alcohol. If I have to talk to people in general I cringe, but especially in this state.)

heh, I'm the exact opposite.

I always land right on the E/I border, but I score way to the side for N, T, P.

why, because we'd both freak out in social situations?

No, just because I like your personality, the way your mind works.
I don't freak out in social situations, I just become quickly exhausted and have to flee.

fleeing = freaking out ;)

Oh I know that. Regardless, we'd have been interesting together. We'll always have LiveJournal. ;-)

As the life is slowly sucked out of me, I've gone, over the last 5 years, from Artisan-Performer to Artisan-Promotor to Rational-Inventor...

Your gerbils escaped yesterday! Well -- for a minute. The gigantic labyrinthe of tubes finally succumbed to their weight and scurrying. It must have been the most exciting moment in their lives.

The brown one was still in the tube, though, so I sealed him in. The black one, however, was tentatively exploring freedom. For a minute. He was fat and slow, and I quickly lured him into a bowl with some food.

LOL
