a lesson learned...
May. 29th, 2002 04:51 pmEating lunch at an Indian buffet is not at all conducive to doing much of anything the rest of the afternoon beyond digesting.
Monday I had to go to work. Well, I didn't have to, I mean I wouldn't have gotten fired, but on the other hand I might have in the long run for not completing enough tasks. Plus I wouldn't have gotten paid. Anyway, one nice thing was that there was pretty much zero traffic. In the evening I did little beyond watch TV and have sex. David Letterman is still funnier than Jay Leno, especially when he humiliates people (normal people, not celebrities) on his show.

hotcrab and I met
i_dread, all in hopes of free champagne, but it was for naught. We ended up at "pagan night" at the Contour (tattooed chicks dancing to good house) where I drank two Cosmos and a screwdriver. I don't think I'll be doing that again anytime soon. I suppose I just wasn't thinking about the fact that Cosmopolitans are almost pure liquor. Ugh. Oh well.
I've also been reading Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I've never read it before. I forgotten how much I enjoy reading that style of writing. Victorian prose is good stuff sometimes - when it hadn't been published first in serial form, that is. (Most writers who were paid by word written just got too greedy, in my estimation.)
