all the pain, a fraction of the cost
Jul. 24th, 2003 03:03 pmI decided to try a little DIY waxing - well, that is, I still had a small amount of sugar wax that I'd bought ages ago, just ran out of the strips. So I cut up a teeshirt - I was slightly worried that the stretchy fabric would not do the job, but WHAT DO YOU KNOW, IT DID. I was quite happy, and maybe I'll even try real DIY stuff next time.
It's really amazing if you think about it though, how it's not really that difficult to make your own sugar wax, and just cut up an old shirt. I'm never ever ever shaving my legs again. I stopped for a while because I think the stupid Mach 3 blades were making my skin allergy act up - at first I was afraid it was scabies b/c Steve's friend Yoda Mike told us a story about that once, and it was freaking me out. But I then thought it might be the fact that I was actually shaving my legs again due to summer, and using Mach 3 blades instead of the erm Mach 2 kind. As they have more metal on them and all that. And lo and behold after not shaving for a few days the rash cleared up.
