taken from a friend of a friend, who annotated someone's journal entry.

The Topic: What Is Love

"It’s a feeling that starts in your stomach. You don't really know what it is but it gives you goose bumps and your body starts shaking." Sadly, this isn't love; this is the feeling you get when you hold your shit in too long. You've all felt it; the goose bumps on your skin, your stomach churning...if this is the case you're not in love, you need to go.

"You're exited when you see that special someone. You can't wait till you’re close enough to that person. You count every second that passes until that special someone is in front of you." Not love, but the feeling you get while waiting in a line, whether it be at a rock concert or simply at the movies, until you get to the ticket man.

"It’s what makes you feel complete in only one place, the arms of your lover." Although it might seem like love it’s not, it’s actually when you realize that your lover has your underwear. That’s right, when you walk away only to realize that your significant lover is still holing your unmentionables, you can’t help but feel a bit incomplete.

"You just know, there's no real way to explain it. No one can really tell you, you just feel it. It hits you hard and all of a sudden it spreads through your system. No one else knows what happened, but you can feel it". This is actually what happens when you're shot with a poisoned dart.

"It’s intoxicating. It drowns out all your senses and you can't think clearly." A common misconception.... this is actually called alcohol.

"You notice everything about them. The way they laugh, their smile, the way they talk. You know everything there is about them down to the most minute detail." This is actually called obsessive compulsive...or a tight ass. Nothing gets away from you. You're not in love; you're in need of help.

"It's something that makes you feel empowered. It makes you feel like you could take on the world, but when it's gone you're reduced to nothing." This is actually a PCP addiction.

  • Remember when you were learning about autoincrement operators in programming class, and some smartass always mentioned that "C++" should be called "++C", because you wanted to use the language after it had been changed? Man, that guy was obnoxious.

  • Finished Valis last night. I understand it's book one in a trilogy; guess I need to get the next two books. Next up is Now Wait For Last Year.

  • I am Sancho. You are not Sancho.

and finally, what if FOX NEWS covered "other breaking events":

  • no jive

I had a Zoka Mocha shake along with a slice of pizza and vegetable soup for lunch today. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] hydrozoa to exchange goods for services (ok, she bought me a Faint ticket for next week, I paid her back) and talk about Resonance, and boys. I pointed out the ultra-cute waiter boy who is my whole reason for going to Zoka's, and I told her more about my ex. Also I told her about internet people buying me underwear for my birthday, which I think is worth putting in the novel. Or movie. Whatever.

Afterwards I cracked up at the Seattle paper headlines, which were something like "Bombs Target Hussein" on one, and "Huge Bombs Target Hussein" on the other. Then I attempted to get a new button for our hot tub but failed miserably. So the jets are still not working, unless I can figure out a way to get the pneumatic system working manually. (I don't think I have enough lung capacity, unfortunately.)

edit: Also discussed possible interview questions for Michael Moore, like "What do you find sexy?" and "Did you see that Terminator movie?"
