Wached Vampyros Lesbos yesterday, as we'd had the netflix DVD for months and months and no one had seen it. I figured no one was going to if I didn't, so I went for it. Pretty much a bad movie, but in that foreign way in which things happen very slowly and almost seem like they have no connection to each other. Not at all tense or suspenseful like a horror movie, but not really trying with the erotica either. I can't really recommend it if you have any sort of attention span problems, it took me two sittings to finish it. And I used to watch Skinemax man.

The only thing it really had going for it is the lead vampiress. She was this petite woman with brown hair and eyes (Spanish) whom I found absolutely gorgeous. And of course most of the movie she's either completely or totally naked, but as she's not on screen that much, it sort of sucks.

Ah well. I could see some American director totally remaking this and doing a great job - as long as they kept the dope soundtrack. That was definitely perfect.

So I'm the last person in the world to see Donnie Darko, right? But that's ok. I am rather glad I saw it after getting into Philip K. Dick, at any rate. It was so reminiscent of Martian Time-Slip with the schizophrenia and precognition and shit. I totally loved it. And yeah, Jake Gyllenhaal is a stone cold hottie. Rawr.
