I wonder if it's possible, through wave analysis (IE the fast-fourier transformation), to figure out the BPM of a song. Because then you could run it, and have your MP3s sorted by folders or playlists named 120BPM, 130BPM, etc. Then if you wanted to mix stuff it would be easy.

I hate it when new variables enter into the equation of me, because then I have to redefine myself. Until then I feel completely nebulous and approaching zero.

My standard approach is to mull over the problem, then come to a decision as quickly as is feasible, and then say, "OK, I am now X, so I feel Y and Z and do A and B." It makes life a lot easier when you don't actually have to think about what you're supposed to do, because you create a template and just go off from there.

On the other hand, it means I tend to create new Laural-paradigms rather quickly, and can change into a completely different person one day to the next. I usually don't do that, because they don't stick so well when made so quickly in succession. But nonetheless I don't always make the best decision about which paradigm to slide into, and I can get stuck in really stupid situations, just because I've decided that I'm the Kind of Person to do That. However foolish That may be.

So now, I think, I should not do that so much. But of course then I'm all nebulous and confused, and then I overthink. Ugh.

The wind is wild tonight. It tosses my hair back as I twirl in her arms.

"You are mine," she whispers.

Yes, I say. Let us be wild together.
