Anonymous comments reduce me to tears. Most of the it's the equivalent of spraypainting "KIKE" on a synagogue or whatever. But what's worse is people you know leaving them, but without enough information so that you can respond to them privately. Because if I had to respond to them in the same format I'd just leash a long string of expletives. Of course I'd do the same if they left their name, but at least it wouldn't be in public, and they'd probably be able to read it.

Basically someone from my old job commented on the last of my web page entries, and while they said some nice things, I was bugged by the "it's your own fault no one here liked you" passive-aggressiveness of it all. Because when people you know read your web page? People you see on a daily basis? And then don't talk to you about it at all, till nearly a YEAR LATER, when they say "it's a shame we didn't get to know each other better"? Boy that's fucked-up.
